Terms of Service

Aurorent ("Aurorent," "we," "us") operates a website and app connecting travellers ("Renters") with independent local vendors ("Vendors") who offer clothing, footwear, bags, and accessories for short-term rental at travel destinations. Aurorent is a marketplace intermediary; Aurorent is not the owner of rented items and is not the Vendor of record for any listing unless explicitly stated.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account or make a booking on Aurorent.

When you reserve an item, you enter into a rental contract directly with the Vendor for that item, governed by the Rental Agreement in addition to these Terms. Aurorent facilitates the booking, payment, and communication between you and the Vendor but is not a party to the underlying rental of the physical item.

• Rental fees are charged at the time of booking confirmation.
• A refundable deposit is [authorized as a hold on your payment method / charged and held in escrow] at booking and released within [X business days] of the Vendor confirming the item has been returned in its original condition, subject to the damage and dispute process in the Rental Agreement.
• Aurorent uses third-party payment processors (including Stripe) to handle transactions. By making a booking, you also agree to that processor's applicable terms.
• All amounts are shown in your selected currency but may be settled in the Vendor's local currency; exchange rate fluctuations are not the responsibility of Aurorent.

• Renters may cancel a confirmed booking [more than 48 hours] before the rental start date for a full refund of the rental fee; cancellations after that window are subject to the cancellation policy set by the individual Vendor, shown at checkout.
• If a Vendor cancels a confirmed booking, the Renter will receive a full refund of the rental fee and any deposit charged.

Vendors are independent businesses, not employees or agents of Aurorent. Vendors are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, the condition and cleanliness of items provided, and compliance with local business, tax, and consumer protection law in the jurisdictions where they operate.

Renters agree to use rented items with reasonable care, return them by the agreed date in the condition received (normal wear excepted), and to the terms set out in the Rental Agreement, including liability for loss, theft, or damage beyond normal wear.

Renters and Vendors may leave reviews of one another following a completed rental. Reviews must be honest and based on direct experience. Aurorent may remove reviews that violate this policy or applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aurorent is not liable for the condition, fit, authenticity, or safety of items listed by Vendors, for the conduct of Renters or Vendors, or for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the platform. Aurorent's total liability arising from your use of the platform is limited to the fees you paid to Aurorent in the [12 months] preceding the claim.

Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using Aurorent you consent to that processing.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Aurorent after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
